"LOS HABITANTES DE ARLEQUINIA"
(THE INHABITANTS OF ARLECCHINIA)

by Claudia Contin
(128 pages - dimensions cm 13X21 - with black and white photos - colour cover)

The Moisés Gonzàles' spanish translation of the Claudia Contin's text "Gli Abitanti di Arlecchinia" (already published in Italy in 1999), is a new moment of popularization and deeper investigation of the theatrical and educational work of the Scuola Sperimentale dell'Attore on the Commedia dell'Arte: In the volume is careful described the actor's work for the physical construction of the behaviour of the comic-tragic-grotesque characters, for the use of the leather mask, of the voice connected with the physical movement. An anthropological journey, amusing and careful at the same time, into the human behaviours shown and amplified by the mask. The volume, published by SobreEscena, presents also a rich photo and graphic collection that integrates and completes the text.

<<This is a particular book, with two souls. By one hand it's a theatrical text: it books the words of a monologue, already performed several hundred times and however in programme uninterruptedly from more than twelve years; by the other hand it distances itself from the typical monologue, in the language and above all in the dimensions, obeying the didactic motivation to complete the informations. This book is not addressed only to the reader keen on theatre, to the recitation student or to the university student, but really to every kind of reader>>:
