The Scuola Sperimentale dell’Attore, established as a not-for-profit organisation, has undertaken to define and divulge a line of research on the contemporary actor, whom it places on the same level of technical and creative dignity as a musician, a poet or a figurative artist; that being by means of a punctilious dialogue, whether it be with the great traditions worldwide or with the most important experiences of the historical avant-garde movements of the Twentieth Century. The teaching activity unfolds in “monographic” courses, in long-term workshops with performance outcomes and, on request, in ad hoc projects for government agencies and institutions. Frequently it hosts artists and master classes from worldwide traditions and research.
The company “Hellequin” compares the results of  the Scuola Sperimentale dell’Attore with the current reality of theatrical fruition, mounting and distributing performances that are successfully inserted in institutional programming aimed at various sectors of the public. Distributes performance events, in those cases that bear notable experimental characteristics, often in the sense of simplicity and of the novel spatial relationships between actor and spectator.
